Welcome to Jhist.com
From the 2nd century through their expulsion in 1492, Cordoba, Spain, was a center of flourishing Jewish culture and knowledge. Under the rule of the Muslim's, the Jews were granted religious freedom and rights to self-govern their communities. During this time, the Jews were active participants in the prosperity of Spain economically, socially, politically, and intellectually. Today, the human race is living in a digital age. One of the goals of jhist.com is to not just be a resource on Jewish history but to be a digital Cordoba as well.
As a digital Cordoba, jhist.com will be resource for Jewish history. Eventually, there will be resources about Jewish history for every major era of history from the Abraham through today.
This is a work in progress, so please be patient as more information is being added. If you are looking for something specific, let me know and I will try to address it. In addition, if this is a resource center, if you have any suggestions for resources that would enhance the material available on this site, please share them with us. I will try to incorporate all suggestions into this resource.
